My neighbourhood is now complete. When I returned from Egypt, I found that the LCBO with the "Coming Soon" signs had determined that "soon" had arrived and was open for business. Last week, the Irish pub with the similar "Coming Soon" signs had finally done likewise. Down the street from me, I have a grocery store, pet-food store, various restaurants, and now a liquor store and Irish pub. My neighbourhood is now fully livable.

Last night, myself and some friends sampled the new watering hole. The food was tasty, and the selection of beer of beer widely varied, though the bartender seemed to know nothing, and the service was quite slow as they work out the grand-opening kinks. Most importantly for an Irish pub, however, was the quality of the kilts worn by the waitresses. I spent five years of Catholic high school studying the subject, so I know quite a bit about the qualities of a smartly-worn kilt.

These were superb. Well done. More than enough to convince me return on a regular basis.

At long last, my Egypt Travelogue is ready for viewing.

It is overflowing in adventure, tall tales, and me making a fool of myself. As a new feature this time around, the photo album has been expanded to include videos! The Amsterdam pictures are not up yet, but they should appear within the next few days.

Now that this is all done, I can start to think about my next vacation...

For the second time in a row, and... uh... I've lost count of how many in total, the Spatulas have won the WTSSC (now Go West Athletics) soccer title, this time in the newly formed Competitive Division. This team is far too strong; the only reason I'm still on it is because I was willing to play goal. The final put us up against the only team that gives us a challenge in the league, and it turned out to be a good game, finishing with a 5-3 score.

After winning the league "by accident" the first time we took part, it seems we've built up quite the dynasty.

That was an excerpt from IGN Sings the Holiday Hits, one of those incredibly geeky parody songs for gamers. Nevertheless, Jessica Chobot dressed in a slinky Santa outfit saying "slip your disc right into my Wii" sounds embarassingly exciting.

However, doing some background on Miss Chobot's other works there at IGN has proven her to be most awesome in the humour factor. Case in point, the brilliantly brave and hilariously heroic, Chobotimus Prime.
